Wirex announced £3.7M in funds raised via Crowdcube.

Wirex, a London, UK-based company operating a mobile-based payment processing services, announced that it completed ca funding round of £3.7M ($4.8M).

The money was raised from 6907 investors via an equity crowdfunding compaign on Crowdcube.

Wirex, founded in 2014 by Pavel Matveev and Dmitry Lazarichev, developed a payment service via secure accounts that allow customers to store, buy and exchange multiple currencies instantly at the best live rates on one centralised mobile app. The company is operating in 130 countries with 3.1m registered users, and in 2020, it became Mastercard’s first "native" crypto-friendly principal member.
