Wintermute, a London, UK-based provider of algorithmic liquidity for digital assets, closed a $20 million Series B.

The money was raised from investors led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Pantera Capital. Other investors joining the round include Sino Global Capital, Kenetic Capital, Rockaway Blockchain Fund, Hack VC, DeFi Alliance and Avon Ventures, a venture capital fund affiliated with FMR LLC, the parent company of Fidelity Investments.

Proceeds will be used to open the company's first international office in Singapore in the first quarter of this year, spearheading a general push into Asia, the company said.

Wintermute, founded in July 2017 by Evgeny Gaevoy, Harro Mantel and Yoann Turpin, is a crypto-native market maker, focused on building a decentralized financial system by creating liquid markets with transparent prices.

The company raised $2.8M from Lightspeed Ventures 6 months prior.
