StudyBee raises SEK 4M for a student development and assessment service for Google Classroom.

StudyBee, a Malmö, Sweden-based startup developing a tool for student grading and personlized feedback, announced raising SEK 4M in outside funding.

The money will be used for UK expansion and comes from Almi Invest, Djäkne Startup Studio and from local investors Pontus Jansson and Robin Olsen through PJ & PL Invest.

StudyBee, founded in 2012 by Mats H Carlsson and CEO Ian Rattigan, developed a a tool for Google Classroom, that enables formative matrix assessment towards course learning objectives directly in Google Classroom. The service was launched in Sweden in autumn 2016 and has already managed to attract 170 schools with 20,000 students.
