SmartHelio announced raising capital funding.

SmartHelio, a Lausanne, Switzerland-based cleantech startup, announced that it secured a capital funding round.

The money, which is part equity part convertible loans, was provided by a range of investors including the Investment fund foundation of Banque Alternative Suisse (BAS), which contributed with CHF 250k.

Proceeds will be used t expand the company's business in India.

SmartHelio, founded in 2019 by CEO Govinda Upadhyay, produces an IoT sensor used for tracking AI-based data analytics, and helping solar roof-top companies and their clients. The combo solution is a cost-effective, easy-to-install monitoring and diagnostic tool used to increase the performance of solar plants and ensure rapid maintenance, and which gained customer traction in India, as the company is working with top 10 solar companies in the country.
