Skyqraft announced raising $2.2 million from Subvenio Invest and Antler.

Skyqraft, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup provider of electricity power-line inspection services via drones, announced that it completed a funding rond totalling $2.2 million.

The money was raised from investors led by Subvenio Invest, and included contributions from Antler, Sustainable Energy Angels and other business angels whose name was not disclosed.

Skyqraft, incubated in at Antler Stockholm in 2019 by CEO David Almroth, Sakina Turabali and Umar Chughtai, provides a smart infrastructure for inspections for powerlines, by using drones combined with software in order to gather images, interpret data and eventually detect risk automatically. The company says that In 2020 their drones controlled approximately 2,000 kilometers of the Swedish electricity grid and that it is already working with the three largest utility companies in Sweden jointly representing 85% of the Swedish market.

Skyqraft previously raised money from Antler and a bunch of local angel investors from Sweden including Claes Ekström (partner at Altor Funds) and Tomas Kåberger.
