Savage Game Studios announced raising $4.4 million from Play Ventures and Makers Fund.

Savage Game Studios, a Helsinki, Finland-based gaming studio, announced the completion of a $4.4M capital investment round.

The money was raised from investors including Makers Fund and Play Ventures as well as angels Jussi Laakkonen, Asbjoern Soendergaard, the Mobile Dev Memo syndicate, and Joakim Achrén's game investment syndicates.

Savage Game Studios, founded in 2020 by CEO Michail Katkoff, has been in stealth, working from the Helsinki and Berlin offices on their first title, which is a mobile game shooter. The money will be used to move this project into the production phase, with the aim of releasing in selected markets later this year.
