Sana, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup working on an AI-based education tool, closed a new investment round totalling SEK 8M ($1M).

The money comes from its existing investors, including Mattias Miksche, Sophia Bendz, Joen Bonnier, Svante Elfving, Anna Felländer and Katarina Martinson.

Sana, founded in 2016 by CEO Joel Hellermark, developed an artificial intelligence tool that allows providing personalize education recommendation for students. The tool calculates each students' optimal learning pattern and predicts how they will perform on future interactions. Resources are then intuitively recommended to students based on their individual needs: content predicted to be too easy or too hard can be skipped or delayed.

Prior to this transaction, Sana raised SEK 1M ($122k) in 2016.
