Netlify, a Danish founded & San Francisco, USA-based company provider of instant setup for deploying and collaborating on modern frontend web projects, announced raising a $12 million Series A round from Andreessen Horowitz, together with existing investors, Bloomberg Beta, Designer Fund, and Tank Hill Ventures.

Netlify, founded in 2015 by Christian Bach and Mathias Biilmann Christensen, has developed software tools bringing the web into the era of microservices by creating a coherent workflow around a decoupled web, based on the principles of the JAMstack. The company also offers a content management system that lets non-technical users write blog posts and other content and then integrates that content with a site’s existing git workflow (on the backend) so that developers can easily interact with it. Today, over 100,000 developers use Netlify, growing over 300 per day — running over 300,000 web projects and delivering 2.5 billion web requests a month.

Prior to this deal, Netlify raised $2.1M in 2016.
