Lawbotics, an Oslo, Norway-based startup working on a SAAS product offering automated legal contracts, closed NOK 2.2M in funding.

The money comes from local angel investor Christian Printzell Halvorsen, from Aschehoug, one of the largest and oldest independent publishing house in Norway, as well as from Innovasjon Norge, which contributed with NOK 700k.

Lawbotics, founded in 2016 by Merete Nygaard (CEO) and Alexander Bakos Leirvåg, is working on products aimed at both businesses and law firms that will make the legal market more effective, transparent, customer friendly and open for innovation. Their first product is a platform for digitizing legal documents, initially launched as a document generator for shareholder agreements. The next step is to build a platform with a smart document generator at the core, where different document flows can be created and used by all businesses.
