Blue Lice, a Stavanger, Norway-based startup working on a solution for combating the marine lice, raised NOK 2M ($260k) in outside funding. The money comes from undisclosed local angel investors.

Bllue Lice, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Karoline Sjødal Olsen, is working on and has under patent review a product that can detect and combat the sea lice before the fish can get infected. The company estimates that, in Norway alone, the salmon lice costs the aquaculture industry NOK 15 billion a year.
