Anima, a Malmö, Sweden-based company developing smart, purposefully designed, connected products, including analog watch line Kronaby, raised a new investment round totalling SEK 95M ($11.8). The money comes from its existing investor, the Chinese company Goertek Inc, listed in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Anima, led by CEO Pål Borge, was founded in 2015 as a joint venture with a EUR 10M investment from Goertek together with former employees from Sony Mobile: Fredrik Rosén, Sarandis Kalogeropulos and Thomas Sandelius.

The company, which employs 70 people, developed Kronaby, a contemporary connected watch brand which combines Scandinavian design and Swiss watchmaking tradition. The watch comes in four models, Apex, Sekel, Nord and Cara, with price ranges from 345 EUR- 595 EUR.
